Cabinet Descriptions

President -Drew MacDonnell
Eric Frank
The responsibilties of the President shall be as follows: shall serve as chiefrepresentative for matters involving RHA. Shall run cabinet meetings and give the Administrative Vice President notice of the agenda. Shall be responsible for setting the agenda for the senate meetings in conjunction with theAdministrative Vice President. Shall be responsible for maintaining the bill book in conjunction with the Administrative Vice President. Shall be resonsible for ensuring that funds are spent in accordance to the RHA Constitution and By-Laws along with teh Director of Finance. When there is no clear majority, the President may cast a tie breaking vote. Will review transition packets by the end of the term. Shall be the main liaison for the Residence Life Staff.


Vice President - Mollee Hubbard

The Responsibilities of the Vice-President (VP) shall be as follows: Author of the minutes and distribute a copy of all voting members approval. Send a copy of the approved minutes to all Residence Directors/ Assistant Residence Directors, Complex Coordinators, the Director of Residence Life, the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs, Associated Students of Colorado State University(ASCSU), Departement of Outreach, Advisors, and the Student Organizations Office. Author cabinet meeting minutes and distribute them to Cabinet member and Advisors. Author the Senate agenda in conjuction with the President. Maintain the bill book in conjuction with the President, and the bill and resolution numbers and contact the Director of Finance whenever necessary. Responsible for keeping the office files in order and up-to-date. Do any official typing and copying asked by Cabient members except when in conflict with job descriptions. Maintain an electronic attendance and vote log. Keep a copy of all pertinent files on the computer and/ or on two accesible computer disks, one for Cabinet and one for the Advisors. Make any changes to the Constitution that are approved by Senate prior to the next Senate Meeting. Coordiante senator T-shirts, Cabinet Polos, and Cabinet Nametags at the beginning of each school year.


Director of Leadership Development

The responsibilities of the Director of Leadership Development is to ensure effective, productive, and responsive to the input of residents. As well as responsible for creating as-hoc committees in response to the needs of residents. Shall conduct semi-annual evaluations and conduct monthly surveys on RHA and cabinet. Prepare a resource guide for all active members prior to the first Senate meeting. Coordinate Fall Hall Retreat for the Senators. Supervise a diffrent committe each week to ensure that all are doing their jobs appropriately, and will take attendance of all committees. Director of the Cabinet As Mentors (CAM) program. In chrage of coordinating leadeship development within RHA, and shall put on leadership activities during Senate meeting breaks. Shall make sure funds are being spent appropriately in the Professional Development Expenses section of the yearly budget, with the help of the Director of Finance.

Director of Finance - Rhys Willoughby

The responsibilities of the Director of Finance shall be as follows: Shall chair the Finance Committee. Shall be responsible to ensure that all funds are spent in accordance to the constitution and the By-Laws along with the President. Shall oversee approved budgets, maintain records, and give reports on all RHA financial transactions. Shall make bi-weekly funds report at senate meetings. Shall help coordinate all matters of fundraising.


Director of Public Relations - Benton Line

The responsibilities of the Director of Public Relations (PR) are as follows: Shall be responsible for all matters of fundraising. The responsibilities for all matters of public relations. Shall create and distribute at least four newsletters for the course of the year for the halls. Shall write to the CSU Collegian editor the first Monday of each month to inform students about RHA. Shall coordinate the web page. Shall make sure funds are being spent appropriately in the Promotion Expenses section of the yearly budget with the help of the Director of Finance. Shall create a monthly e-newsletter for the RA's. Shall work with the advisors to utilize the FYI system. Shall be responsible for the key chains for the following year.

Directors of Programming
The responsibilities of the Director of Programs and Leadership Development (DPLD) are as follows: Coordinate Summer Kickoff, a master calender with all events and programs being put on by liason organizations. Make sure funds are being spent appropriately in the Programming section of the yearly budget, with the help of the Director of Finance, be the Co-Programming coordinator. In charge of the monthly bulletin boards in the RHA office. Communicate with all the Hall Councils. Be in charge of Programming with all the Halls. Coordinate the Hall Council Conference(s) for Fall and Spring Semester. And in charge of Hall Olympics and the Hall Crests.


National Communications Coordinator- Diana Chang

The responsibilities of the National Communication Coordinator (NCC) are as follows: Shall serve as liaison between RHA and Intermountain Affiliation of College and University Residence Halls (IACURH) and National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) and report weekly to Senate on the activities of those organizations. Shall serve as a delegation chair for the regional and national conferences. Shall be responsible for obtaining information from schools within NACURH for the purpose of enhancing RHA. Shall be responsible for getting information from the National Information Center and, to the best of his/her ability, take advantage of the 100 free pages of information. Shall be responsible for coordinating the awards process for any NACURH affiliated conference. Shall be responsible for all of the duties outline in the IACURH NCC handbook. Shall make sure funds are being spent appropriately in the Conference Expenses section of the yearly budget with the help of the Director of Finance. Shall write two bids for IACURH and No Frills in conjunction with cabinet members at the NCC's discretion. Shall be required to attend No Frills unless he/she is not financially able. The newly elected NCC may attend NACURH, sit on a national and regional business meetings, and may have voting rights at these meetings, but will not take office or perform duties until the close of NACURH.

National Residence Hall Honorary President
The responsibilities of the National Residence Hall Honorarary President (NRHH) are as follows: Shall collect and submit Of the Month (OTM) nominations by the first week of each month to the regional board of directors. Shall report CSU OTM winners at the first senate meeting. Shall submit a monthly report of/to the NRHH listserve and report to the Senate. Shall give an OTM writing workshop once a semester to Cabinet and Senators. Shall maintain duties according to the NRHH constitution. Shall meet with Senators during office hours who fail to submit OTM nominations. Shall attend the Regional (IACURH) and National (NACURH) business meetings, as well as communicate with Regional and National Directors. Shall be required to attend No Frills unless not financially able.
